Full Name
Jon Jafari
Date of Birth
March 24, 1990

Jon Jafari (also known as JonTron) is a YouTuber and former Normal Boots member.

As he appears in his video game reviews, is accompanied by his "pet" robo-parakeet Jacques, and sometimes other guests such as the members of the Continue? web series. His demeanor is generally not taken seriously, a stark opposite to his violent and fearful bird companion, who apparently threatens Jon on a regular basis in order to keep him from becoming lazy and continue uploading more videos.

He resides with his girlfriend and her dog, neither of which are ever seen or mentioned in any of JonTron's reviews or adventures, in California.

Jon is well known for his love of the Banjo Kazooie series, and used an image of him and Jacques dressed as the characters in his title cards. One of his favorite episodes of his show is the Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts episode.

As of May 17th, 2017, JonTron has left Normalboots.

Jon's main show that involves him reviewing various Video Games and Movies. For the most of his initial videos, Jon tended to focus on a single game per episode in many of his earlier episodes. After leaving the Game Grumps, Jon's video game reviews now tend to feature multiple games in a single episode, centered around a specific theme such as Anti-Drug video games or Bootleg Disney games.

Much of his episodes features off the wall comments, over the top reaction shots, and unexpected humor, regularly involving skits where the game comes to life or something bizarre happens within the game, and is reflected in real life. Members of NormalBoots, such The Completionist and Paul from The Continue? Show, occasionally make cameo appearances in his episodes, usually for a short skit scene within an episode.

Game Grumps

Due to gaining attention from Arin Hanson, aka Egoraptor, thanks to his Dino City review, Jon began co-hosting Game Grumps with him in July 2012, taking the role of Not So Grump. Game Grumps is a let's play series where the duo played various games, generally non-popular titles or sometimes even obscure games. The original Grump duo garnered a large fanbase and was most known for their long running Sonic '06 playthrough as well as several one off series such as Goof Troop and Megaman 7.

Due to his time on the Game Grumps, Jon put his main JonTron channel on hiatus, producing a lot less content than before in order to focus on Game Grumps. In June 2013, Jon officially announced his departure from the show in a video titled Ode to Jon in order to return to creating content for his original JonTron channel. Jon's role as Not So Grump has since been succeeded by Danny Avidan, aka Danny Sexbang from Ninja Sex Party.
